Celestial Tai Chi Cultural Tour 2008   

This year's China Tour itinerary is released! From 21/9/08 to 3/10/08, we are touring South China (Guangzhou, Guiling, Yangshou) and Vietnam (Saigon, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay).

You are welcome to bring interested guests if you wish but please book early as preference is given to active students. We will be having our first tour group meeting on 16th March 2008 at 12 noon in Fairfield Park after the park lesson.

 


Visit South China and Vietnam(12days tour)

Day 01 (21/09/08) Sun. Melbourne /Guangzhou /Guling
Get together at Melbourne airport at 05:45 Check in at Cathay Pacific airway counter. Fly to Hong Kong by CX134 at 07:45, arrive Hong Kong at 15:05. Transit in H.K.. Leave for Guiling by KA700 at 18:00, arrive at 19:25.Upon arrival met by local tour guide then transferred to hotel to take a rest after a long way flying.

Day 02 (22/09/08) Mon. Guiling
Picked up at hotel lobby at 09:00. Day tour in Guiling.
In the morning visit the Reed Flute Cave which is located in northwest suburb of Guiling. It is 240 meter depth and the sightseeing route is 500 meters long. The cave embraces a large number of stalactites and stalagmites. Many of which are formed into intriguing shapes such as bamboo shoots, Pillars etc. After lunch visit Folded Brocade Hill. The Hill consists of mysteriously formed rocks, layer upon layer, like bolts of colorful brocade ; hence the name. Elephant Trunk Hill:it is located on the western bank of Li River Scenery. The shape of the hill is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk, hence the name . Fu Bo Hill: Fubo Hill stands solitarily by the Li River in downtown Guilin. A climb to the top of the hill offers visitors an extensive view of some charming scenery, including the sunrise over Yao Hill with Zizhou Islet enshrouded in the mist and Old Man Hill in the distance.  
Back to hotel for a break. Dinner in local restaurant followed by night city tour. (B,L,D)

Day 03 (23/09/08) Tues. Guilin/Yangshuo  
Take a Lijiang River cruise tour (4.5hrs) in the morning and have lunch on board. The Cruise tour just like traveling along a 50-km-long Traditional Chinese Painting .arrive at Yangshuo in the afternoon.After check in, you will have a free time to walk around “Foreigners Street”,  there you can do some shopping or enjoy the local snacks. You will find some of the shops are owned by western people. Arrange dinner by your own.
Enjoy the performance “Impression Li San Jie” after dinner. Over night stay in Yangshuo. (B,L)

Day 04 (24/09/08) Wed. Yangshuo/ Lipu / Liuzhou/ Nanning
Leave Yangshuo after breakfast. Take a 2.5hrs (180km) drive to Liuzhou.
Have lunch in Da Longtan park in Liu Zhou and take a break.
After lunch  take another 2.5hrs coach  to Nanning. Take city tour then check in Wharton International Hotel. Night view along South lake park near hotel.  (B,L,D)

Day 05(25/09/08)Thurs. Nanning/DeTian/Pingxiang
Departure for De Tian by  coach (4hrs). Arrive before lunch, visit the De Tian Water Fall : It is 120 meters in width and 70 meters in depth. Connected with the Banyue waterfall of Vietnam, the waterfall is over 200 meters in width and listed the largest transnational waterfall in Asia. Walk around the Water Fall area. You will not have the experience to be so close to the water. Overnight stay in Ping Xiang.  (B,L,D)

Day 06 (26/09/08) Fri. Pingxiang /YouYi Guan/Hanoi
Arrive You Yi Guan around 10:00 and take a 30 minutes for photo-taking. Across the border and met by Vietnam tour guide. Arrive Hanoi in the afternoon and visit : Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple. Back to hotel after dinner.  (B,L,D)

Day 07(27/09/08) Sta. Hanoi
City tour in the morning: Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Former Residence House, President palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Check in hotel to take a rest, Enjoy the water puppet show at night in Hanoi and back to hotel after that. (B,L,D)

Day 08(28/09/08) Sun. Hanoi /Ningpin /Halong Bay
Depart for Ningpin in the morning. And visit the Bich Dong Cave, Phat Diem Stone Cathedral. Arrive in Halong Bay (60Km from Ninpin) check in hotel.    (B,L,D)

Day 09(29/09/08) Mon. Halong Bay /Catba Island
Visit Halong Bay by ship in the morning.  (Halong Bay is recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO in December 1994, this spectacular by covers a surface of 1500 km, comprising of more than 3600 islets of amazing shapes: incense burner, pair of fighting cocks.)
Arrive in Catba Island in the afternoon. Check in hotel after dinner.        (B,L,D)

Day 10 (30/09/08) Tues. Catba Island /Haiphong /Hanoi/ Saigon (airplane)
Leave Catba Island in the morning, arrive Hanoi at noon .Take flight VN225(15:00/17:00) to Saigon after lunch. Upon arrival met by local tour guide and have short city tour: Notre Dame Cathedral and old French-style post office. Check in hotel after dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 11 (01/10/08) Wed. Ho Chi Minh City /My Tho / Ho Chi Minh City   
Depart for My Tho , arrive before lunch. Then visit the Thoi Son Island.  Back to Saigon in the afternoon. Free for the rest of the day.  (B,L,D)

Day 12 (02/10/08) Thurs. Ho Chi Minh City/Melbourne
Transfer to Air port at 09;30 Leave for Hong Kong by CX766 at 11;40 arrive at 15;20
Connect flight CX135 and leave Hong Kong  at 19;20 arrive Melbourne at 07;30 next morning. (B)

$3,550 per person.

Including:

  1. Return air ticket fly  by Cathay Pacific Air Ways (economy  class)
  2. Accommodation in Guanxi and Vietnam (4-star)
  3. Meal and sightseeing as per itinerary
